Katherine Merryfield is the owner and founder of Kat’s Naturals, a CBD company that formulates therapeutic grade hemp-derived blends with quality and consistency in mind. Kat graduated from Clayton College in 2006 with a natural health and nutrition degree and an emphasis in homeopathy. She founded Kat’s Naturals in 2015 after discovering the healing powers of CBD while trying to help her veteran husband manage his PTSD symptoms.

Kat was able to draw upon her background in herbal consulting and homeopathic treatments to launch her own sustainable CBD oil company that prioritized people over profits. After 2 years of successful sales at the local farmer’s market in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kat saw the wider retail potential for her CBD products and decided to grow her small company into a nationwide operation.What started as a desire to serve the people in her community quickly expanded into a thriving business.

Today, Kat’s Naturals is a leading provider of organic CBD products with over 32 unique offerings including sublingual oil, skincare, and pet supplements. Since inception, the Kat’s Naturals sublingual oil line has expanded to include minor cannabinoids and a professional strength line of products. Kat’s Naturals is available online through their e-commerce store as well as found on other CBD marketplaces, in boutique stores nationwide, Save Mart; the largest supermarket chain in California and an international partnership with the largest CBD distributor in Japan. Additionally, Kat’s Naturals donates 10% of profits to non-profit organizations that are making an impact in their communities and is committed to offering CBD oil that is healing, organic, GMO-free and environmentally sustainable.

Co-Founder

Celeste Prince is the CEO of Prince Group, and the co-founder and seed investor of Libérée.

After meeting Kat, learning more about her, and trying her extraordinary CBD products, Celeste became dedicated to helping Kat launch the next phase of her impact as a unique and gifted herbalist and business woman.

Celeste brings a diverse set of skills to the mission. With a background in the entertainment industry, and a successful consulting agency that helps change makers, celebrities, and cause-based initiatives go from concept to success, she is excited to help bring Libérée to life.

Celeste shares a deep passion with Kat for herbal wisdom, holistic health, and the power of nature. She has been an avid herbal student, gardener, chef, tincture maker, nurturer, and home remedy advocate for much of her life. Although she is new to CBD and its tremendous benefits, she is excited to support and invest in the vision and mission of Kat, and Libérée.

Celeste is also also avidly involved with various non-profit organizations and is always looking for ways to serve. She is an Advisor to TEDx Waterstreet, and serves on the Boards of Headstrong, Artshare, and Outbreak. She was the youngest member of Barak Obama’s Finance Council in the nation, and has a long history of high-level political and NGO experience and fundraising. She is also the founder of Charis, an underground literary salon for tastemakers, thought leaders, survivors, and celebrities; as well as a founding member of The Lightning Machine: An Inspiration Expo, and an equity partner with Charlie Hunnam and Ryan Hurst in Graph.
